Qualcomm has unveiled the Snapdragon Dev Kit for Windows, featuring the Snapdragon X Elite chip, allowing developers to purchase it for testing Windows on Arm apps with an NPU of 45 TOPS for AI functionality.
There is currently no news on desktops using the Snapdragon X Elite chip (only laptops), so this Dev Kit may be the only desktop option in the market right now. The Snapdragon X Elite CPU is a special Developer Edition with overclocking capabilities (model code X1E-00-1DE, not the standard version).
Other specs include 32GB LPDDR5x RAM, 512GB storage, full connectivity ports, support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, and a TDP of 80W. It will be available for purchase in June for $899.
