Journey to China: Tim Cook Meets Emerging Innovators, Pledges 30 Million Yuan to Zhejiang University

Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, embarks on another journey to China. He took to Weibo to share his visit to the Apple App Development Office located at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, where he met with a group of budding app developers in China.

The visit to Zhejiang University holds particular interest as Liang Wengfeng, the founder of DeepSeek, is an alum of this institution.

Apple also announced a donation of 30 million yuan to the university to foster the development of new app talent, in addition to the 50 million yuan previously donated for office setup.

Prior to this, Apple had also invested an additional 720 million yuan in clean energy initiatives in China.
