Latest Developer Beta Software Update for HomePod Unveiled by Apple Following Reports of Bricking Issues

The longevity of the iPad Pro is still going strong, with the HomePod following suit. However, this issue seems to be more contained in nature. Reports indicate that after Apple released software version HomePod 18.1 Beta 2 build 22J5552d for developers yesterday, they have halted further updates. This decision was made after receiving reports from some users who updated to find their HomePods bricked and unusable.

Apple did not specify any new features in HomePod 18.1 that were particularly distinct, but rather it seems to be an update version released in conjunction with software updates for other operating systems. The previous version, HomePod 18.1 Beta 1, did not report any issues of bricking devices.
