Microsoft has released patch KB5031455, which includes numerous features announced at the Microsoft Build event. One of the highly anticipated features is the ability to open rar, tar, gz, and 7-zip files, utilizing the libarchive library. This update also includes several other features such as Copilot in Windows, the ability to hide the clock from the corner of the screen, grouping icons on the taskbar, and support for Unicode Emoji 15.

In addition to adding new features, this patch also addresses various bugs, including memory leaks, issues with free software, and printer problems. The patch is currently optional; however, users who wish to use it immediately must enable the optional update. It is expected that this patch will become a regular update next month.
