Google Search has announced a change in the way URL results are displayed on mobile search results. Previously, breadcrumbs or paths at the end of the URL were shown similar to the desktop version (as seen in the top image). Now, only the domain name will be displayed (as shown in the bottom image).
Google reasons that displaying breadcrumbs on mobile is not very useful due to limited screen space. Therefore, they have decided to remove breadcrumbs to highlight the domain name more prominently instead. However, the desktop version will continue to display breadcrumbs as usual.
These changes are now in effect for Google Search in all languages and regions.
TLDR: Google Search has updated mobile search results to only display domain names instead of breadcrumbs to improve visibility on small screens.
