OneDrive Web readies to augment its offline productivity capabilities, enabling seamless file management even without an internet connection.

Microsoft has recently announced on the Microsoft 365 roadmap that the web version of OneDrive will soon have the capability to work offline. This means that users will be able to manage files, delete files, rename files, and move files through their web browser without needing an internet connection. Any changes made will be synced back when an internet connection is established.

If a file is already available offline (“always available offline”), users can simply open and view the file as usual.

This feature will be rolling out in preview mode in November and will be generally available in December 2023.
