Q2/2024 Report: Pinterest’s Revenue Surges by 21%, User Base Reaches 522 Million Accounts

Pinterest’s Q2 2024 performance report reveals a 21% increase in total revenue compared to the same period last year, amounting to $854 million. The company reported a net profit of $8.9 million according to GAAP accounting standards. The majority of Pinterest’s revenue comes from the United States and Canada, totaling $673 million.

The platform’s monthly active users (MAUs) grew to 522 million accounts, with 98 million in the US and Canada, 136 million in Europe, and 288 million in other countries.

During the earnings call, Pinterest’s CFO, Julia Brau Donnelly, shared additional insights. She highlighted that the company’s advertising revenue now comes primarily from the technology, automotive, and finance sectors, compensating for the decline in revenue from the food and beverage category in recent months.
