Revenue Surges by 32% for Roblox in Q4 2024 – Player Base Reaches 85.3 Million Accounts

Roblox has reported its fourth quarter performance for the year 2024, with total revenue reaching 988.2 million dollars, a 32% increase from the same period the previous year. The net loss stood at 219.6 million dollars, with booking revenue from in-game purchases not yet recognized as income totaling 1,361.6 million dollars, up by 21%.

The daily active users (DAUs) reached 85.3 million accounts, a 19% increase, with an average of 18.9 million paying accounts per month, up by 19%. The total play hours in the quarter amounted to 18.7 billion hours, an increase of 21%.

David Baszucki, the CEO and founder of Roblox, stated that 2024 is a strong year for the company in terms of innovation and user community. The platform leads in technology with the strength of a unique user community. The company also aims to have a 10% share in content creation in the video game world, as well as related technologies such as virtual currency, app efficiency, and the integration of AI to enhance user experience.
