Rumored: Tesla Delays Launch of Budget-Friendly Model Y, Previously Set for Mid-2025 Debut.

According to reports from Reuters, Tesla has had to delay the release of the new budget version of their Model Y car, originally aiming to sell it in the first half of 2025.

This particular model is known as the Juniper, and it is divided into two sub-series. The series that has already been released is called the Launch Series, while the series that has been postponed is a more affordable version with features cut down, smaller in size, using cheaper materials, resulting in a 20% reduction in production costs compared to the original. Internally, it is referred to as E41, but the exact reason for the delay is still uncertain.

Reuters sources suggest that Tesla plans to produce 250,000 units of this model in the United States by 2026, with plans to expand production to Europe and China in the near future.
