Mark Gurman from Bloomberg has reported in this week’s Power On newsletter about new products from Apple, specifically the iPad Air and Apple Vision Pro.
Starting with the Apple Vision Pro headset, Gurman mentioned that the second-generation Vision Pro has been developed in various forms, with the possibility of using a similar design to the previous version but upgrading the internal hardware and chipset. This information aligns with reports from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who stated that the second-generation Vision Pro would use the M5 chipset and be released next year.
However, Gurman did not discuss any plans for a budget-friendly version of the Vision Pro, which Kuo recently mentioned that Apple has temporarily halted development on.
Gurman also provided additional information about the new model of iPad Air, set to be released early next year. He mentioned that the update would focus on internal hardware improvements, without specifying whether it would feature the M2, M3, or even the M4 chipset. Alternatively, it could include upgrades in the display or other aspects.
According to Gurman, the new iPad Air is expected to come with a Magic Keyboard specifically designed for the model, with added Function keys similar to the latest Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro.
