Thailand’s Monitored Display Market Shrinks by 1.5% YoY as COVID Ceases Its Reign

IDC, a leading market research company, has recently released its comprehensive report on the PC monitor market for the second quarter of 2023. According to their findings, the overall market saw a decline of 1.5% compared to the second quarter of 2022, but showed a marginal increase of 0.1% when compared to the first quarter of 2023. In total, 250,000 units were sold, with the business sector accounting for 77,000 units, a significant decrease of 10.2%. This decline can be attributed to the post-election situation in the country.

IDC noted that the players in the market have successfully adjusted their stock balance, as the overall demand for products decreased after the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The inventory turnover period reduced to less than 6 weeks, indicating an efficient management of product availability.

In terms of market share, Acer ranked first with a market share of 23.1%, followed by Dell with 14.5%. TPV, LG, and Lenovo secured the third, fourth, and fifth positions, respectively.
