The Grand GNOME Procures €1 Million in State Funding from Germany: An Overhaul of Grandiose Proportions for Enhanced Feature Sets

The GNOME Foundation, the organization responsible for overseeing the GNOME desktop Linux project, has received funding from the Sovereign Tech Fund, a fund that supports foundational technology. With a one million euro grant, GNOME is now gearing up for major feature enhancements throughout 2024.
