The Resurgence of Taylor Swift’s Complete Music Catalog on TikTok Once Again

Taylor Swift’s music has made a comeback on the TikTok platform’s song library for users to include in their videos once again. This includes songs from previous albums such as “You Belong With Me,” “Cardigan,” “Lover,” “Fearless (Taylor’s Version),” “Cruel Summer,” “Style (Taylor’s Version),” among others. Previously, all songs were removed from the platform after Universal Music Group (UMG) announced the withdrawal of all songs under their copyright due to the inability to reach a new benefit-sharing agreement with TikTok, including Taylor Swift’s songs.

However, songs by other artists under UMG’s care have not been reintroduced to TikTok, leading to speculation that a separate agreement was made specifically for Taylor Swift, who retains the rights to her original songs. The decision to bring back all of Swift’s songs to TikTok is anticipated to coincide with the release of her new album “The Tortured Poets Department” scheduled for next week, using TikTok as a key promotional channel, similar to her previous album “Midnights.”

It is worth noting that representatives from UMG, Taylor Swift, and TikTok have not yet provided comments on this news report.

TLDR: Taylor Swift’s songs are back on TikTok, potentially for the promotion of her new album, while other UMG artists’ songs remain off the platform. No comments have been made by UMG, Taylor Swift, or TikTok representatives.
