TSMC has reported a 40.1% increase in total sales for the second quarter of 2024 compared to the same quarter in the previous year, amounting to 673.51 billion Taiwanese dollars. The net profit also saw a 36.3% increase, reaching 247.845 billion Taiwanese dollars.
Revenue breakdown by wafer technology in chip manufacturing is categorized into 3 nanometers accounting for 15% of the revenue, 5 nanometers at 35%, and 7 nanometers at 17%. This places the revenue from high-end manufacturing technology (7 nanometers and above) at 67% of TSMC’s total revenue. Additionally, revenue segmented by platforms utilized, with HPC platforms being the largest revenue contributor at 52%.
