Twitter stops using Slack internally, and staff members believe that Slack use fees are not being paid.

Slack and Jira usage within Twitter has been discontinued, citing “routine maintenance”
On Thursday, Jira was restored, but Slack is still down.

No scheduled maintenance shutdown ๐Ÿ“… or account closures have been reported by Slack employees, however some Twitter staff without internal communication tools have had to turn to alternative methods (e.g. Email).
Some speculate that Slack’s closure may have been brought on by cost-cutting initiatives similar to Elon Musk’s strategy for reducing expenses, which includes forgoing rent payments, closing data centers, and firing employees.
