According to 9to5Mac, a reliable source of news, the upcoming flagship smartphone from Apple, the iPhone 15 Pro, is expected to be launched next month and will come in 4 color options, but with a change in the color lineup. The two colors that will remain the same are silver and space black. However, the gold and purple colors will be discontinued and replaced by two new colors, which are dark blue and titan gray.
The dark blue color will be the special color for this year’s iPhone, similar to the purple color in the iPhone 14 Pro and the sierra blue in the iPhone 13 Pro. As for the titan gray color, it will replace the gold color, which is a significant change. The gold color has been paired with the iPhone since the iPhone Xs to cater to the Asian market.
The reason why Apple decided to discontinue the gold color is because the material of the device has changed from stainless steel to aluminum according to rumors, and it cannot be coated with gold.
On the other hand, the regular models of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will still have 5 color options, with this year’s colors being black-midnight, white-starry light, yellow, blue, and orange-pink, and there will be additional special colors released in early 2024.
