By the end of 2024, Sony has enabled PlayStation Portal to support Cloud Streaming for playing PS5 games from the PS Plus cloud (in countries with cloud services, not yet including Thailand).
Recently, it has been discovered that PlayStation Portal can also play classic PS1/PSP era games through the cloud, expanding from its original limit of only being playable on PS4/PS5 (games listed in the Classic Catalogue).
The ability to stream classic games has transformed the PlayStation Portal into a portable gaming device, allowing users to enjoy classic PS1 games like Grandia, Jumping Flash, Tekken 1, MediEvil, Oddworld, Syphon Filter, and Wild Arms correctly, albeit requiring a PlayStation Plus membership and with limited support in around 30 countries.
