ERNIE X1 Turbo is a step-wise thinking model, claiming better efficiency and cost-effectiveness compared to the latest DeepSeek R1 V3. Pricing at 1 yuan per 1M tokens for input and 4 yuan per 1M tokens for output, this amounts to 25% of DeepSeek R1’s usage cost.
On the other hand, ERNIE 4.5 Turbo focuses on quick responses, showing reduced latency in answering logical questions and supporting code assistance, with test results equivalent to GPT-4.1. Its usage cost stands at 0.8 yuan per 1M input tokens and 3.2 yuan per 1M output tokens.
Additionally, Baidu introduced the new app Xinxiang, an AI-powered assistant app capable of handling over 200 tasks, with plans to expand its capabilities to 100,000 tasks.
