Today, Threads users who wish to discontinue using the app can delete their account without having to delete their Instagram account.
To delete their profile from the Threads app, users can navigate to Settings > Account > Delete or deactivate profile. This feature has been long-awaited by Threads users, as many have felt frustrated with the inability to delete their Threads profile without deleting their Instagram account.
