Vietnam enforces regulations mandating games to have licenses before being published on App Store and Play Store.

Apple has announced notifications to App Store developers wanting to publish mobile games in Vietnam that the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam (MIC) has implemented legislation requiring games to acquire licenses from the government. Game developers on the App Store must apply for game licenses from the government and then enter the license number into the App Store in addition to the regular app submission and review process.

These conditions have been announced for the Google Play Store in Vietnam, with the law coming into effect on December 25, 2024.
