X/Twitter adds details to usage terms, public data may be used for AI training

There have been additional reports regarding the privacy terms of the X or Twitter platform. Users have noticed changes that specify the collection of biometric data and X Hiring job application data. Now, this has become a matter of AI.

In the modified section 2.1 of the terms, it states that the platform may gather publicly available information to train machine learning or AI models for the purposes outlined in the policy.

Elon Musk, the owner and CEO of X, has confirmed these changes and reiterated that only public information will be used. There will be no usage of DMs or private posts.

This announcement may not come as a surprise, as Elon Musk also owns a company named xAI that aims to create AI to understand the nature of the universe. So, using data from X/Twitter is not beyond expectation.
