Apple Launches New Section ‘Apps by Apple’ on Website to Promote Self-developed Apps

Apple has added new content to its website, ‘Apps by Apple,’ to showcase its various apps across iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, and Apple TV. The apps are categorized based on their different use cases and also include new features that will be added in a major software update later this year, including iOS 17. Examples of apps in the Productivity category by Apple include Notes, Reminders, Calendar, Freeform, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, and Shortcuts. There are also features that enable seamless cross-device usage, such as Siri, iCloud, CarPlay, and Continuity.

It is expected that Apple has created this section on their website to promote their self-developed apps, as the EU mandates that Apple must allow the downloading of apps from external stores. Additionally, Apple has previously reported data showing that users tend to prefer using third-party apps over preloaded apps with similar functions.
