Direct Vision Feature in Microsoft Edge Allows for Screen Reader Accessibility

Microsoft has unveiled the Copilot Vision feature, allowing users to read screen images and camera images more seamlessly. Initially launched in the Copilot app for Windows, it was limited to Insider testers only.

The recent expansion of the Vision feature to Copilot in the Microsoft Edge browser is a game-changer. In Edge, Copilot can directly read the web pages you are currently viewing without the need to copy text or capture screenshots for reading.

The Copilot Vision feature is now available for all Edge users to opt-in for free. Microsoft is gradually rolling out this feature to users in groups, indicated by the appearance of eyeglasses icons next to the familiar Microsoft phone icon.

Meanwhile, Google is also expanding a similar feature called Gemini Live, which allows Android users to see screen images and camera images just like Copilot.

TLDR: Microsoft introduces Copilot Vision in Microsoft Edge, revolutionizing browsing experience with image reading capabilities. Google follows suit with Gemini Live for Android users.
