Dota has acted forcefully in recent weeks to preserve an even playing field for all of its players 🤼♂️. For employing third-party software to obtain an unfair advantage, over 40,000 accounts have had their access to the game permanently barred. With this software, cheaters were able to influence the game in their favor by accessing private data from the Dota client that was hidden from view during normal gameplay. However, Dota has taken a hard position against cheating, and these most recent actions show its dedication to maintaining the game’s integrity.
According to Valve, this method merely gets rid of a certain kind of cheating program, and the war against cheaters must go on.
But, Valve has made this information public in order to let dishonest gamers know that the corporation takes this matter seriously and that it will not tolerate it.
Cheaters who are discovered will suffer repercussions, such as having their accounts wiped clean.
