Capcom Executives Firmly Decline Microsoft’s Hypothetical Acquisition, Asserting Equality with Superior Partner

Haruhiro Tsujimoto, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Capcom, was interviewed by Bloomberg regarding the potential acquisition of the company by Microsoft. Tsujimoto politely stated that he would likely decline the offer, as he believes that being equal partners would be more beneficial. He also revealed that Capcom has previously been a target for acquisition, though he did not disclose by whom. He emphasized that the company’s strategy is focused on organic growth and that they have no plans to acquire other game studios.
