Microsoft has recently updated the Snipping Tools app in Windows 11 Insider, adding the ability to insert shapes such as circles, rectangles, straight lines, and arrows directly onto the screen capture. This new feature eliminates the need for users to edit their screenshots in other applications.
Another app that received an update simultaneously is Notepad, which now includes a feature called “Explain with Copilot” (Ctrl+E). With this feature, Copilot assists in explaining selected text, essentially functioning as a copy-paste operation into the sidebar of Copilot.
Both of these apps are currently only available for testing to members of the Windows Insider Dev and Canary groups.
