Activision Blizzard has announced through the Overwatch 2 game blog that they are making major changes to bring back a better PvP experience and increase player trust. The team confirms that they have heard feedback from players about the competitive mode over the past 8 seasons and have plans to introduce a significant update that allows each hero to have a greater impact on players’ experience. Additionally, players will now be able to see their new rankings after every match, with clear details provided.

Overwatch 2 – Season 9: Champions will be available to play on February 13th. This season’s update includes changes to the Progression system, a new way to calculate player rankings in competitive mode, improved balance adjustments for each hero in every role, and new character skins.
