Introducing Microsoft’s Innovative Keyboard Enhancements: Embedded Copilot Button Revolutionizes AI-Powered Personal Computing Experience

Microsoft has announced that it will push for 2024 to be the year of AI PC, with the addition of the Copilot button on the Windows 11 PC keyboard this year. This enhancement will make it even more convenient for users to access the AI function on Windows.

The Copilot button will be located on the right side, replacing the original Menu button. Previously, Microsoft had attempted to replace it with the Office button.

Microsoft considers this change in keyboard buttons to be a significant one in nearly 30 years. Back then, the Windows button was added to the left side of the keyboard. Users will see this Copilot button on PC keyboards from various manufacturers starting from 2024 onwards. However, if Windows doesn’t have Copilot or it’s not enabled, pressing this button will bring up Windows Search instead.

TLDR: Microsoft is making 2024 the year of AI PC by introducing the Copilot button on the Windows 11 PC keyboard. This change is considered significant and aims to enhance user convenience in accessing AI functions on Windows. The Copilot button replaces the Menu button and will be featured on PC keyboards starting from 2024. If Copilot is unavailable, pressing the button will activate Windows Search instead.
