NVIDIA has quietly started reducing the prices of some of its graphics cards, including the GeForce 4060 Ti with 16GB RAM. The card was initially priced at $499, but it has now been lowered to $449, a $50 reduction. This price is the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) set by NVIDIA, but retailers may choose to sell it at a different price.
The decision to lower the price was influenced by the underwhelming performance of the 4060 series in reviews compared to previous generations. Some retailers had to lower the price on their own in order to attract customers. Another factor was the launch of the AMD Radeon RX 7700/7800 XT, which competes in the same price range ($449-$499). In order to stay competitive, NVIDIA had to quickly lower the price of the 4060 Ti 16GB. Interestingly, even with the price reduction, the NVIDIA card still offers more RAM compared to the Radeon RX 7700 XT 12GB.
