Capcom recently revealed the latest sales figures for Resident Evil Village as of March 31, 2024, stating that the game has sold a total of 10 million units worldwide (including digital and physical copies) since its release in 2021. This installment has been the fastest-selling in the series, with sales increasing by approximately 2 million units per year over the past 3 years.

Currently, the Resident Evil series has three installments that have reached the 10 million unit mark, including Resident Evil 7 biohazard, Resident Evil 2 Remake, and Resident Evil Village. The most recent addition, Resident Evil 4 Remake, has sold approximately 7 million units globally.

Resident Evil Village is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and Switch in a Cloud-based format, allowing players to stream the game through a centralized server similar to services like GeForce Now.
