According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, following the announcement of Apple’s new product launch event on September 12, it is expected that the main product will be the iPhone 15. However, the latest information suggests that there may also be a new version of AirPods introduced.
Nevertheless, the AirPods that are being announced may not have any changes in terms of specifications. What has been confirmed is that the charging case will support USB-C, aligning with the USB-C port on the iPhone 15. As for whether it will be the AirPods 4th Gen or not, there is still no information available.
Ming-Chi Kuo, a reliable analyst for Apple’s new product releases, previously mentioned that the AirPods 4th Gen will be released in the second half of 2024 or the first half of 2025, along with the AirPods Max. It remains to be seen at the launch event whether the AirPods that are released will only feature a case change or if they will be a completely new model.
