Samsung introduced the Exynos 2400 at the Samsung System LSI Tech Day 2023 conference. While details about the chip are still scarce, the CPU is reported to have significantly improved performance, boasting a 1.7 times increase compared to its predecessor, the Exynos 2200. Additionally, the AI capabilities have seen a remarkable enhancement, with a 14.7 times improvement. On the graphics front, Samsung has incorporated the Xclipse 940, a new GPU based on the AMD RDNA 3 architecture. This collaboration between the two companies builds upon the previous RDNA 2 used in the Exynos 2200, providing a notable upgrade.
During the event, Samsung showcased a prototype board featuring the Exynos 2400, demonstrating its on-device text-to-image AI model. This technology is expected to be utilized in future flagship smartphones, possibly the upcoming Galaxy S24.
Alongside the Exynos 2400, Samsung unveiled several other new chips:
1. Exynos Auto V920: Designed for automotive applications, this chip is set to go into mass production in 2025.
2. Exynos Connect U100: An ultra-wideband (UWB) communication chip.
3. ISOCELL HP2: A high-resolution 200MP image sensor, previously rumored.
4. ISOCELL Auto 1H1: An image sensor specifically designed for automotive cameras, supporting HDR and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
