Enhanced Security Measures: OpenSSH Unveils Version 9.5 Incorporating Ed25519 Keys and Time Lock Feature

OpenSSH has announced the release of version 9.5, which may be a minor version, but it introduces two important features that were previously announced. These features are:

1. Changing the default keys to Ed25519 in the ssh-keygen command, resulting in smaller key sizes.
2. Adding an option to throttle the timing of key data transmission to prevent guessing of typed words based on the timing between keystrokes.

In addition to these smaller features, there are also improvements to the Subsystem system. Now, it allows for pre-configured commands to be run using the Match keyword, enabling the separation of subsystems for different accounts. There is also the inclusion of a direct SSH ping feature.
