Google has introduced Assistant with Bard, a combination of two AI assistants, Google Assistant and Bard, to enhance its capabilities. The interface still involves conversing through Google Assistant, but it now benefits from generative AI and logical reasoning provided by Bard. Assistant with Bard supports input through voice commands, text, and images. Users can even take a photo and instruct AI to perform tasks related to that image.
Additionally, Assistant with Bard has access to certain Google services such as Gmail and Docs. This allows users to command the AI to summarize all their emails for the week and select important ones to be summarized for reading.
For now, Assistant with Bard is only being showcased and it is expected to undergo general testing in the coming weeks.
TLDR: Google has combined Google Assistant and Bard to create Assistant with Bard, an AI assistant with enhanced capabilities. It can process input through voice, text, and images and has access to services like Gmail and Docs. Assistant with Bard is currently being showcased and will be tested in the near future.
