The Limitations of API Conditions Prompt Slack to Announce Termination of X Integration

Slack has recently announced the discontinuation of its feature allowing integration with X or Twitter. This decision stems from changes in X’s API terms and conditions, which have imposed limitations on its usage.

Effective October 19, 2023, this modification significantly impacts Slack users’ ability to receive notifications from X. Unfortunately, this means that Slack users will no longer be able to seamlessly connect with X and receive updates.

This announcement from Slack comes after a previous announcement where the platform discontinued the use of the @SlackStatus account for system status updates. Instead, users are now directed to refer to status.slack.com for the latest information regarding system status.

TLDR: Slack will no longer support integration with X or Twitter due to API changes, preventing users from receiving notifications. Additionally, the @SlackStatus account has been discontinued. Refer to status.slack.com for system updates.
